[EDIT: Lost sight of your title. As Craig said - if Nvidia Display Control Panel (or Experience) is not accessible the drivers are
- Nvidia Settings Are Not Available Windows 10
- Nvidia Settings Are Not Available On Tv
- Nvidia Display Settings Are Not Available
not properly installed. Nvidia drivers should also be on the list in Programs and Features.
- I have had issues installing my Nvidia graphics with 1709. The installer goes through the motions, but shows the install failed message
at the end of the process. I have had to boot into Safe Mode to successfully install Nvidia drivers.
However PhysX and the Experience don't install in Safe Mode so you have to download the stand alone installers for these and
install them in normal Windows mode ]
'I'm not sure what details are relevant'
Always include every fix you have tried and anything you think is remotely relevant. You may save some back and forthing.
'My Dad put a computer together'
- All new parts ? Obviously not a laptop, so there should be no automatic switching to Intel HD to save battery power.
- Disabling Intel HD in Device Manager is probably a good indication that your GTX1070 is running the games, and
verifies you have not plugged the monitor into the Intel HD output (it happens).
You can verify if your GTX1070 is being used in GPU-z Sensors section. GPU-z monitors heaps of gpu variables.
If the clock speeds kick into '3D' mode the card is running the games.
- If you have enabled Game Mode and the associated 'Game' stuff, disable them all for now. I don't know the current
state of the situation, but Game Mode has been found to be counterproductive with some games, and with a
GTX1070 it's not likely to benefit anyway. Game Mode is more for people with weak gpu's.
- Not trying to run high spec games with max settings @4K are we ?
- I believe the Intel HD graphics Service you disabled would only be for the Intel Control Panel. This should not affect
games running on Nvidia. Also be careful of - ' disabling ...many more things'.
- About the lag. Do the games run at decent frame rates but have mouse lag, or are the fps below 30 ?
Mouse response lag could be due to input lag from the monitor. Some IPS monitors are known for input lag issues with games.
- Your clean driver install was done using the current driver from the Nvidia download site ?
NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Advanced Search

Nvidia Settings Are Not Available Windows 10
- Have you downloaded and installed the most recent BIOS and Win10 drivers for the motherboard from the
mfg of the mobo ? The drivers on the disk are often out of date.
You mentioned BIOS settings. The settings for PCIe graphics are now on Auto, yes ? (or set all of BIOS set to default/optimal/etc. )
Depending on the motherboard, there may also be an option called CPU Graphics Multi-monitor (or similar).
Depending on the motherboard, there may also be an option called CPU Graphics Multi-monitor (or similar).
As a precaution, verify this is disabled, unless you are using two monitors and one is connected to the Intel HD graphics.
If you are using two monitors with with one on Intel HD, and the display that is running on Intel HD is selected as the
main display in Windows Display settings, your games may load on the Intel HD rather than Nvidia
(guessing atm - have to go experiment ).
- GTX1070 is in the top PCIe slot ?
- PCIe power cables are fully seated on the card ?

One day, my laptop suddenly heated up and it suddenly showed 6 screen in single display.
I reboot my system 2-3 times and the problem seems to go away. But 1-2 days later it returned. I tried rebooting again but this time problem only resolved partially. I mean, It is showing single screen but graphics card not working. It also disabled the sleep and the hibernate option.
Nvidia Settings Are Not Available On Tv
When I try to open the nVidia Control Panel I get this error:
In the Device Manager the GPU shows up with a yellow exclamation mark and error 43, which is a generic error.
I'm still confused, what's the exact problem, whether my graphics card gone or if it is a driver issue. Even I tried this solution, but it wasn't helpful.
My current system configuration is :
- OS : Windows 7 Professional
- RAM : 3GB
- Display adapter : Nvidia GeForce 8400M GS (256 MB)

The first problem, due to driver crash when you try to install a new diplay driver. The second problem is that the diplay driver you installed is incompatible. The solution is:
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand the category “Display adapters”. Right-click on NVIDIA graphics card name and select “Uninstall” on the context menu.
Your computer will start automatically and you will delete it again. - If prompted to confirm the uninstall, check the box next to “Delete the driver software for this device” and click the “OK” button.
- Restart your computer. Windows will reload the driver.

System Specs:
Asus K501L Intel i5-5200u Nvidia 950m 8gb ram 256gb ssd (samsung)
So I was playing a game on my laptop (GTA 4) and noticed that there was only 512mb of graphic card memory available, which is weird because the laptop has a 950m. But instead of the 950m the laptop uses Intel 5500HD. When I try to use the 950m I get the message in the titel.
What I tried:
-
Uninstalled and installed the drivers for the 950m
-
Uninstalled and installed Intel 5500HD drivers
-
Changed settings in NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D settings > Preferred Graphics Processor: High-performance Nvidia Processor (with prefer maximum performance mode enabled)
-
Tried starting games using 'execute with graphic processor' and then selecting Nvidia Processor
-
Looked in bios for graphic card settings, but can't change anything about it
-
Tried running games by disabling Intel 5500HD, but games crash at start up
Dxdiag too big, but can sent it as .txt
I could really use some help, I have no idea what to do anymore
Edit: Nvidia Control Panel says it is using Intel 5500HD instead of the 950m, even though I selected the 950m: http://imgur.com/a/jeU4W

I keep getting this error message. My Dad put a computer together several months ago and it has had problems since the beginning. My games have always had strong lag especially the more advanced ones. From what I can tell, it is using the onboard graphics card instead of my NVIDIA card. I'm not sure what details are relevant but the card is a NVIDIA GTX 1070. I have searched extensively to solve it. I have tried changing the primary display in BIOS, I updated the latest drivers, I tried a clean install of the drivers, I made sure the wires were plugged in correctly, going into services, disabling the Intel Graphics Card Program, and many more things. I am at a loss at what to do.
The NVIDIA® Control Panel is NVIDIA's next generation hardware control application that unlocks the award-winning features of NVIDIA drivers. The NVIDIA Control Panel was designed by NVIDIA's dedicated user interface team to revolutionize software ease-of-use and ensure that set-up and configuration of your NVIDIA hardware has never been easier.
Featuring innovative multimedia, application, and display management, as well as gaming features, the NVIDIA Control Panel ensures compatibility, stability, and reliability for all NVIDIA platforms. In addition, the NVIDIA Control Panel is architected for Microsoft® Windows Vista™ and will be fully integrated with the new software infrastructures of its next generation, visually oriented operating system.
Historically, NVIDIA’s Control Panel has contained a wealth of settings and adjustments for NVIDIA GPUs and MCPs. In similar fashion, the NVIDIA Control Panel now applies the same depth of control to the rest of the core components within the system. Without ever leaving Windows or entering the BIOS users can optimize and adjust nearly every system component to minimize noise, increase stability, and maximize performance.
